Following the success of his debut, Jack P. Harland's second
book in the Highland Journal series - In My Stride - begins with
a move to Aberdeen where Jack finds an eccentric new companion. Together, they
set off to explore the Cairngorms, an area that was to surprise Jack and become
his favourite corner of the Highlands.
The chapters cover a wide range of areas of the north and
west of Scotland, each packed with insights into the geology of the mountains
and perceptive notes on the hardy wildlife encountered.
In My Stride also features Jack’s trip to Dundonnell and
adventures on An Teallach – the mountain on which the It’s Up to Us campaign
first focuses, with a £300,000 fundraiser to repair the badly eroded path
there.
All profits from sales of Highland Journal 2. In My
Stride go directly towards the It’s
Up to Us campaign to save mountain paths in Scotland.
